Hi. This is Mayor Mike Cahill with an update.  First, the city will hold two free COVID-19 testing clinics this weekend. Please note these will be testing clinics and not vaccine clinics. If you want to be tested for COVID-19, these will be held as drive through clinics in the Beverly High School main parking lot on Saturday from 9 AM – 1 PM and on Sunday from 11 AM – 3 PM.  You can make an appointment for your test by clicking here: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php

Second, a quick update on vaccines.  At present, the state is focusing its limited supply of vaccines on the mass vaccination sites. The Danvers Doubletree hotel is the closest site to us. In the meantime, we continue to try to get more doses locally and will let you know whenever we do.  While it’s frustrating right now, you may have seen that Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson have promised to deliver 220 Million more doses to the federal government by the end of March. So, hopefully soon the supply of vaccines will be what we all need it to be and more people will successfully get vaccinated.

That’s it for now.  I Hope you all stay healthy and well and have a great day.  Thank you.
