Effective every year from Memorial Day to Labor Day, dogs are ONLY allowed in parks as follows:
DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CEMETERIES AT ALL TIMES
Lynch Park (55 Ober St):
- ONLY allowed between the hours of 6:00AM and 7:30AM.
- Dogs are always PROHIBITED from the Rose Garden
Other City Parks:
- ONLY allowed as follows:
- Prior to 7:30AM and after 7:30PM
- Between the hours of 7:30AM and 7:30PM dogs are prohibited from being in City parks, on beaches and in playgrounds and tennis courts.
Exceptions:
The Parks and Recreation department has designated 1 park per Ward in the City where dogs are allowed BUT they MUST remain on leash and under control at all times.
Ward 1: Femino Park (Lindsay Avenue)
Ward 2: Independence Park (Restricted from Beach between 7:30AM and 7:30PM)
Ward 3: Beverly Common
Ward 4: Cooney Athletic Field (Behind the outfield fence)
Ward 5: Colgate Park (Dogs not allowed in playground area at any time)
Ward 6: Dix Park (Dogs not allowed in playground area or tennis courts at any time)
MOST IMPORTANTLY: Please don't forget to be a responsible dog owner and properly dispose of your dogs waste at all times. Please bag it and take it home with you from the parks and dispose of it properly at home.
These rules will be enforced and penalties upwards of $100 fine per dog/offense can be issued. We thank you in advance and please do your part to keep The City of Beverly clean and safe while enjoying the upcoming summer months responsibly!
