Free Styrofoam Recycling Event
Saturday, June 24, 2023 @ 10:00AM-1PM: Community Life Center, 401 Bridge St, Salem, MA 01970
The Cities of Salem and Beverly are partnering once again to host Styrofoam Collection Day on Saturday, June 24 from 10:00am – 1 PM. Hold on to your Styrofoam – the company “Save That Stuff” will collect it to recycle! This will be a drive-through event at the Mayor Jean Levesque Community Life Center, 401 Bridge Street in Salem. Residents of Salem and Beverly may participate. Please bring only rigid white expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam). No packaging peanuts or food service containers, such as meat trays, clamshells, or Styrofoam cups can be accepted. While Styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside, Save That Stuff has densifiers that can process the material for recycling. We’re excited to offer residents a way to sustainably dispose of their Styrofoam! For more info, contact Erina Keefe at ekeefe@beverlyma.gov or Janelle Rolke at jrolke@salem.com.
