The Beverly Fire Department's Fire Prevention Office is responsible for reviewing plans and conducting inspections in order to keep people living and working in Beverly safe from fire hazards. Captain Jake Kreyling and Inspector Scott Perkins have shifted from fire suppression and fire fighting to plan review and code enforcement.

Once it has been determined that a building requires a municipal signals connection, Fire Alarm and Municipal Signal Superintendent, William Ambrefe, assists with selecting the proper device.

The Fire Prevention Office also handles permitting for everything from oil burner installation and tank removal, to fire watch, blasting and welding details.

To schedule an appointment with either Captain Kreyling or Fire Inspector Perkins, call 978-927-2200 or email fireprevention@beverlyma.gov.
