Construction & Demolition Debris - Residential Options
The City of Beverly does not have the ability to pick up any construction and demolition material (unacceptable refuse) put out on the curb for municipal trash collection. The City’s contract with its trash and recycling hauler defines “Unacceptable Refuse” as rubbish from construction, remodeling, demolition and repair operations. This means that Beverly households (or by extension, their contractors) are responsible for the disposal of any construction and demolition material that they generate. To assist you, we have put together this handout. It is intended as a reference only and not an endorsement of a particular vendor or facility.
Construction and Demolition - "C&D" debris: this category generally includes asphalt, bricks, concrete (ABC) and other masonry materials, soil, rock, wall coverings, drywall, plumbing fixtures, insulation, roofing shingles, plate glass, metal, wood waste, and electrical wires.
What You Can Do
For pick up at home, call a contractor. Look in the Yellow Pages of the Telephone Book under "Rubbish & Garbage Removal”. If you want to take care of this yourself, some options follow. Call facility for pricing.
