Reminder: Beverly is not a Single Stream Recycling Community. Glass, Plastic and Metal can be mixed together, but Paper and Cardboard must be separate from them.

THE STANDLEY STREET COMPOST SITE IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. IT WAS JRM’S INTENTION TO RE-OPEN IN EARLY MARCH, BUT DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNTS OF SNOW IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.  WE WILL UPDATE THE WEBSITE AS SOON AS WE HAVE MORE INFORMATION.

IMPORTANT TRASH REMINDER: The maximum size of bags or barrels of Trash is 35 gallons and may not weigh more than 40 pounds. This rule is rigorously enforced for safety and health reasons. There is a combined 5 bag and/or barrel limit for TRASH per paid Family Unit/Business.  Trash and Recycling must be out by 7:00 am on your trash day This includes yard waste on weeks where there is leaf collection.

Please encourage your friends and neighbors to recycle, thus diverting trash from landfills to other uses, saving money and helping preserve the environment by reducing pollution and saving energy. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of RECYCLING you may put out each week. Click here for Bin availability and pricing information.

Residents with recycling questions that are not answered on the City’s website can call 978-605-2355, or email their recycling questions to recycle@beverlyma.gov and can expect to have an answer within 24 hours. Volunteer members of the City’s Solid Waste Management Committee provide this service.
