IMPORTANT TRASH INFORMATION
The maximum size of bags or barrels of Trash is 35 gallons and may not weigh more than 40 pounds. This rule is rigorously enforced for safety and health reasons. There is a combined 5 bag and/or barrel limit for TRASH per paid Family Unit/Business. You may also put out ONE Bulk item per week- example: One mattress, or One table, or One couch, or One box spring, etc… Click here for our Comprehensive Trash Disposal Guidelines.
Trash and Recycling must be out by 7:00 am on your trash day regardless of when the trucks “usually” come. This includes yard waste on weeks where there is leaf collection. Please note that Trash, Recycle and Yard Waste may not be put Curbside earlier than 18 hours before your trash day. Please be mindful of the weather conditions and help prevent windblown litter by properly securing your trash and recycling. Click here for the Holiday and Leaf Calendar.
Please encourage your friends and neighbors to recycle, thus diverting trash from landfills to other uses, saving money and helping preserve the environment by reducing pollution and saving energy. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of RECYCLING you may put out each week. Click here for Bin availability and pricing information.
Residents with recycling questions that are not answered on the City’s website can call 978-605-2355, or email their recycling questions to email@example.com and can expect to have an answer within 24 hours. Volunteer members of the City’s Solid Waste Management Committee provide this service.
Reminder: Beverly is NOT a Single Stream Recycling Community. Glass, Plastic and Metal can be mixed together, but Paper and Cardboard must be separate from them
