MassDOT Advisory: Beverly
Temporary Overnight Bridge Repair Operations on the School Street Bridge
Closures will occur on Wednesday, September 23, from 8 p.m. through 5 a.m., the following morning.
BEVERLY – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that overnight bridge repair operations will be conducted on the School Street Bridge over the MBTA corridor in Beverly. This work is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, September 23, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24. During the work, the bridge will be closed to traffic with police directing traffic to follow a detour route using adjacent local streets. These impacts are necessary to allow crews to perform bridge repairs safely and effectively. Signage and messaging will be in place to notify drivers of these restrictions.
MassDOT encourages the public to be mindful of potential traffic impacts. Those traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution. This work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
