The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) owns a one and a half acre site on Rantoul and Court Streets in downtown Beverly. It plans to build a 500 +/- space parking garage as the first phase of a two-phase project that will eventually include residential and commercial development as well.

On Thursday, December 9, 2010 the MBTA and its consultants AECom held a public meeting at Beverly City Hall to unveil the 30% design plans for the garage. Click here to view the December 9, 2010 Powerpoint presentation.

Another public meeting will be held when the design is at the 60% stage, which is expected to occur in March/April 2011.
