A sheet metal permit is required for all work governed by 271 CMR. The permit can only be issued to a licensed sheet metal worker.
Special Inspection Guide. (152.8 KB)
For all projects that fall under the Controlled Construction provisions of the State Building Code (projects involving buildings over 35,000 cubic feet, other than one or two-family dwellings), and which require Special Inspections, applicant is to submit a Statement of Special Inspections along with the building permit application.
