City of Beverly Awarded $10,000 Grant for Summer Literacy Program

The Danversbank Charitable Foundation (The People’s United Community Foundation of Eastern Massachusetts as of April 1st) has awarded the City of Beverly a $10,000 grant in support of the new Summer Literacy Program. This initiative, a partnership between the City, the Beverly Schools, and the Beverly YMCA, will give 60 incoming first graders the opportunity to enhance their literacy skills in a six-week learning program this summer.  A huge thank-you to People’s United Bank for supporting this new program!
