Dear Beverly Residents,
Recycling becomes more important with every passing year. It helps us offset the cost of trash collection and disposal, saving money that can be used instead to provide more vital City services. Recycling also benefits the environment by reducing pollution and conserving energy.
We are pleased to bring you this brochure for 2006 which provides schedules and information on the City’s curbside collection and drop-off programs including what, when and how to recycle. If you already participate in the recycling program, thank you. If you can recycle more, please do. If you don’t already recycle, we hope this brochure inspires you to start.
Please encourage your friends and neighbors to recycle. If every household put out just one pound of material each recycling day, we would divert close to one half million pounds of trash from incineration in a single year. Join us in our effort to make Beverly a leader in recycling initiatives.
