Notes:
1. Permit fees are payable at time of permit issuance
2. For projects where a certificate of occupancy is required by the building code, the certificate of occupancy fee is included in building permit
3. Work done without permit shall be double (2x) the original fee (max. additional fee $1,000)
4. Fee is based on the value of the entire project, including trades.
5. Construction costs are rounded to the next highest whole $1,000 (i.e. $10,200 = $11,000)
6. A copy of signed contract must be provided if project is subject to HIC registration
7. Fees are nor refundable once permit has been issued
PLUMBING AND GAS PERMIT FEES
Fees for permits issued under the provisions of this article shall be as follows:
COMMERICIAL
One hundred dollars ($100.00) for the first fixture
Ten dollars ($10.00) for each additional fixture
Fifty Dollars ($50) for a single fixture
RESIDENTIAL
Fifty Dollars ($50) for the first fixture
Five dollars ($5.00) for each additional fixture
Twenty five dollars ($25.00) for single fixture
Reinspection fee if work not up to code ($50)
Fines: Any work started without obtaining a permit or proper notification to inspector shall be subject to permit fee being doubled.
An additional fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be charged for each permit for applications requested through the mail.

PERMITS ARE ISSUED AND SUBJECT TO THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH, ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY AND REGULATIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL INSPECTIONS DEPARTMENT |
1. The prime electrical contractor shall be responsible for the $3.00/$1000.00 fee as shown above.
2. Contractors responsible for control, vdv, fire alarm, intrusion alarms, and other electrically operated building system control equipment shall have permit fees based on the $20.00/$1000.00 as shown above.
3. The inspector of wires electrician shall approve all fees. Fees shall be made by check or money order.
4. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in the case of a contractor change. Permits are void after one year.
5. Final cost affidavits shall be submitted prior to final inspections on electrical installations with fees $5000.00 or greater.
6. Plan review fees, professional engineering, etc. shall be the responsibility of the owner and payable prior to the issuance of electrical permits.
7. The inspector of wires may use methods, including, but not limited to RSMEANS, other cost estimating publications, and signed contracts to confirm costs supplied by applicant
